taking a break

    So if you haven't noticed I have not been blogging lately. I don't know what it is! I'm just not in to mood for it and I am always very busy. so I have decided to take a break! who knows how long a month, a year, who really knows. hopefully it won't be too long. I will talk to you all shortly, have a great spring and summer if I'm not back by then :)

springtime

   Thursday was a great day here in regina, the sun was shining and the puppies were active! My sister and I, along with our dog, went for a springtime walk. We love to do mini photoshoots outside (just the three of us ;) ). here is the end result!

   Isn't he the cutest? yeep. Oh yeah and don't mind the green pants, I'm all about the comfort...

my weekend

happy friday! i'm so happy the week has come to an end and even better. no homework!

i'm lovin it. i have so much free time this weekend that i have vowed to myself that i will do these three things:
-paint my nails
-make homemade coasters
-do yoga

i don't know what it is but every weekend, doing my nails is always on my to do list! but i always just paint them a solid color. booring. so this weekend i am going to try and get a little funky ;) i'm kind of nervous about this so we will see how it goes..

i found this website, that i will share with you once i actually make something from there, and it has the best do it yourself projects. let's be honest what the heck am i going to do with homemade coasters? nothing. but who cares they look so cute and are easy to make! (also eco-friendly!)

lastly, i have been seriously neglecting yoga. either it be farmer on itunes or soloman on the tv downstairs, i need to do it! it will be rewarding after a long week, i am sure.

crumby day

not that i've actually had a crumby day or anything, cause honestly all i've done is lay around and eat! which is really never a bad thing to do. but sometimes you know when you just get in those crumby moods? you're tired and all you want to do is just lay there and talk to no one except your puppy?

i promise i'm not depresseed just a little sleepy...

the gentle barn

have you ever heard of the gentle barn? it's awwesome.

it's a farm in California where they take in animals (mostly farm animals) who have been abused or simply just a need a home. every animal has a safe comfortable living space and gets love by the truck load everyday! don't you just want to go so bad?

Ellen Degeneres and her wife are very involved in the gentle barn which is also awesome because who doesn't love ellen? they adopted two baby cows and ellen is always talking about them on her show, sooo cute! there is so much to do and learn at this place and i think that if you are in the area you should stop by! you can even throw parties at the gentle barn! how great is that?

i don't know about everyone else but since we are having a very late spring here in saskatchewan i can't help but day dream about the most beautiful places in the world. the only thing i want to do right now is hop on a plane and tell the pilot to fly somewhere waaarm!

this past week we got so much meltage in regina in was awesome! i actually drove home from school with my windows rolled down smiling, until i drove through a puddle and got all wet. but even though i looked like a complete freak, i couldn't help myself from welcoming spring with open arms.

then this morning i wake up with a light dusting of snow on my car. mother nature just STOP. thank you.

st. patrick's day

happy st. patty's day!
this is what my sisters and i did this afternoon to celebrate!

we go the recipe here. veery good cookies, i highly recommend them! we only put 3 cups of flour in instead of four (less dry i suppose) and of course we added the green food coloring. it seems as though everything we make we have to add the food coloring.

and obviously rider was involved in the making of these cookies. as you can see he got his hair cut a coulple of days ago (which he is a little insecure about, so shhh) and is loving life with his sisters. he loves cookies!

bernese mountain dog

don't you just want one!? i was watching pick a puppy one day and a family was looking at a bernese mountain dog breeder! i soon fell in love.

i think ever since our family got our small shih tzu i have always wanted a big dog. don't get me wrong i love my dog but sometimes you also want what you don't have right? these guys are just so soft looking and i love the colors of their fur! soo cuute.

one day, along with everything else i want, i will have one of these fluffy little guys and rider to hang out with :)

the kitchen and I

me and the kitchen, we've never really been that close. unless you include me rummaging through the fridge at 3am. but today we did a lot of bonding!

first off i made banana chocolate chip muffins, yuuuum. but i have to be honest i cheated. i used a pre-made batter, from mom's kitchen. but hey they still worked out and they taste delicious!

And second of all! i actually cooked supper for my family by scratch! it was awesome. i got this recipe from here, penne with white beans and spinach, yum!

i love having saturday off, and doing nothing but eating.
